Come see our 9/11 tribute as part of the museum’s 9,500 square foot facility. As a result of 9/11, General Franks was tasked with the monumental job of developing a war plan and putting it into action to rid Afghanistan of AL Qaeda and the Taliban, then later pushing on to Iraq to rid the world of an evil dictator, Saddam Hussein.

See where it all began as the museum houses artifacts from General Frank’s humble upbringing in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to his High School life in Midland, Texas, where you can see and hear music from the fifties juke box from General Franks’ high school hangouts.

Walk through a time capsule of General Frank’s life as he rises to the Rank of Four Star General, Commander In Chief of United States Central Command. Along your journey you will encounter thousands of cultural items from around the world, including a motorcycle given by the King of Jordon to ceremonial robes from Kyrgyzstan in central Asia and ones from Afghanistan.

The military minded will enjoy unique military equipment; an assortment of rifles, equipment & uniforms from Vietnam to the Iraq War era.

Step back in time as you view the Vietnam display featuring over thirty items, ranging from a pup tent to a captured Vietnamese Flag taken from the man who shot General Franks.

See captivating videos from the events of 9/11 to briefings between President Bush and General Franks. You will feel as if you are part of history. So come join us at the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum – a unique experience in downtown Hobart, Oklahoma.
